Netball Bronze!
Swan strong!
Maria has made light work of Kenyan Zeddy Cherotich in the Judo.
She had her pinned within seconds and narrowly missed the victory with that first hold.
She then won moments later with an Ippon.
“Bitter sweet”
Kate Maloney has expressed pride and frustation as the Diamonds won Netball bronze.
“It’s bitter sweet,” she told Channel 7.
“Yesterday hurt and it’s not the medal that we wanted to play for but the way the girls took that disappoitment and came out and performed today was super impressive.
“We’ll go away and look at things. That one-goal loss to Jamaica yesterday was tough but international Netball is as good as its ever been.
“We have to go away and look to get better.”
Judo
Maria Swan is about to take to the Judo mat for her quarterfinal in the women’s 78kg category.
She is fighting Zeddy Cherotich of Kenya.
The West Aussie will be hoping for a strong start.
Netball Bronze!
Australia secure the bronze medal with an 18-goal win over England.
The Roses were never in the same class as Australia and were beaten by them twice in the Games.
While the Aussies won’t be happy they missed the gold medal match, they still bring home a medal for their efforts.
All but over
The Aussies can soak in the final four minutes of the Netball bronze medal match.
They hold a big lead over England who have have been resigned to their fate for the last few minutes.
England record their second fourth-placed finish in a row while the Aussies get their first-ever bronze medal.
It is still their worst finish in a Commonwealth Games.
Current score is Aus 65, Eng 46.
Top spot
Oliver Bleddyn is the top qualifier of his heat in the men’s 40km points race and will join two other Aussies in the final.
He was never in doubt throughout the race and cruised through the final stages.
Having fun
The Aussies are starting to enjoy themselves on court again.
The Netball bronze medal is well within their sights and they have added some flair to their passing game.
Austin went awry but for the most part they have been far too good for England.
Score is Aus 52, Eng 39.

Repechages
WA cyclist Liliya Tatarinoff will need to try and get through a repechage to progress any further in the women’s Kierin after a tough heat.
The Australian men are doing well in the 40km points race qualifyer.
3QT: Australia 49 , England 36
The Australians are on the brink of a bronze medal now.
England had a strong quarter but they still are not close enough to really threaten.
The Aussies just need to stay form and the medal is theirs.
Lifting
The refs are fed up with delaying tactics and the English have launced an attack off the back of being told to calm down.
The margin was at 14 but they got it back to 11.
Score is currently Aus 46, ENG 34.
