After enjoying one of their most dominant days on the sub-continent can Australia continue to grind Sri Lanka into the dust at Galle?

150 for Khawaja
Usman is keeping on keeping on as he sweeps a single from outside off to backward square to bring up 150.
11 of Khawaja’s Test hundreds have been 140 plus and this has been a commanding knock so far.
200 partnership
Smith advances down and whips Jayasuryia aerially through mid-wicket.
He doesn’t get all of it but there’s no one out there as square leg runs around to keep it to two and bring up the 200 partnership for this pair.
Must be said the it looks like there is more spin this morning but perhaps the bowlers are just fresher.
Spin to start
Unsurprising as Peiris comes onto bowl.
He finds some big turn on the third ball that rips past Khawaja’s outside edge.
He gets off-strike with a single with Smith doing likewise off the last.
Players walking out
Given how quickly Australia scored on day one they have the luxury of just piling on as many as they want and hope they can bowl Sri Lanka out twice as the pitch deteriorates.
For reference only three times has a team scored more than 400 in the first innings in Galle and not won.
What about the women?
Australia and England are in action for a historic day-night Test at the MCG.
The Aussie’s have of course already secured the Ashes and are looking for a white wash.
Healy won the toss and made the bold decision to bowl first but they’ve made a good start with England 2/23 with a wicket each to Darcie Brown and Kim Garth.
Welcome
Hello and welcome to day two in Galle where Australia will be looking to bat Sri Lanka out of this Test after a commanding performance on day one.
Steve Smith will resume on 104 while Khawaja is on 147 as they look to bat big and bat once in hopes of burying Sri Lanka.
The wicket has still seemed good for batting while Sri Lanka must tighten up in the field if they are to be any chance of getting back in this.
