Australia start day four in trouble after Temba Bavuma put them to the sword but the pitch is flat and if they can survive the new ball, there are runs to be had.

Kagiso Rabada picked up Nic Maddinson for a duck on Tuesday night and will be firing in with the Proteas needing to win this Test in Gqeberha to keep the series alive.

And don’t forget Anrich Nortje and Marco Jansen, who will be eager to make up for defeat in the first Test.

Speak up!

Rabada and Marnus have shared a word or two already.

It’s great to have Kagiso back! He brings so much to the game.

Labuschagne wins the early battle as he gets off strike.

AUS 2-22

Racing away!

There is plenty of reward for shots out there.

Head’s drives have raced across the turf but it’s a double-edged sword.

When the ball runs like that, driving can become intoxicating, making it hard to stop yourself when the ball isn’t there.

Head does leave a real tight one though so hopefully he is setting himself for a big one as the pitch is still doing next to nothing.

Marnus is not off the mark from five balls.

AUS 2-15

Nicked off

Boland doesn’t last a ball as Marco Jansen’s warm-up delivery goes across him and he plays a half cut.

He gets an edge and it’s an easy catch by Rickleton who is keeping in this match.

AUS 2-11

Eventful start

Head nearly nicks off first ball having a push but the next ball races to the rope as Rabada over pitches.

This will be must-watch between two fire-filled players.

AUS 1-7

Ready to go!

Rabada has the ball and we are set to play!

Proving day

Travis Head has a huge opportunity to cement himself as an opener today.

He threw his wicket away twice in Durban but his team really need him to lead from the front today.

Another failure and the noise for selectors to finally fix the team’s opening issues will get deafening.

Welcome!

The Test match is on a knife’s edge to start day four with Australia 1-3 in response to the Proteas first innings total of 9-425.

Travis Head and Scott Boland are at the crease with South Africa needing to take ickets as quickly as possible to keep their hopes of victory alive.
