A dramatic day one in Sydney saw a captain dropped, 11 wickets fall and fiery exchanges what will day two have in store as Australia looks to overcome India’s total on a spicy pitch?

Follow all the action live.

Webster off the mark in Test cricket

He has a nervous moment as a sliced drive falls just short of gully.

On the stumps and he just eases a drive through cover-point for a single.

Head in then out

He’s off the mark as Siraj overpitches and he whips him off his toes through mid-wicket for four!

GONE NEXT BALL! Tries to work on onto the leg side and gets an outside edge as it swings away and goes straight to second slip.

Australia in the mire now.

Siraj ends Konstas’ cameo

It’s not Bumrah who gets him as Siraj suckers him with one outside off and Konstas drives hard but can only edge straight to gully.

An entertaining knock but one that leaves Australia in trouble at 3/35.

There’s the ramp!

They just brought thrid man up and Konstas brings out the reverse ramp which flies away for four.

Konstas charges and hacks a wild swing over mid-off for a single.

Four byes. Bumrah flings a one well down leg and it’s well wide of a diving Pant for four.

Konstas charges Bumrah

BANG. Bumrah returns and Konstas advances and smashes him for four down the ground past mid-off.

He swings hard again miscuing his flick to fine leg for a single.

AUS 2/25

Smith at the crease

He’s beaten twice outside off by balls he probably doesn’t need to be playing at.

He gets off the mark with single through backward square.

Bumrah gets Marnus!

Bumrah gets one to nip away just enough to catch the edge of Labuschagne and India goes up.

It’s given not out on the field but Bumrah refers straight away and Snicko shows a small spike and Labuschagne has to go.

Australia 2/15

Bumrah's 1st over

He overpitches and Labuschagne drives confidently for two through the covers. There’s a thickish edge that goes on the bounce to gully but otherwise, Bumrah is a fraction short allowing Marnus to see out the over.

First runs of the morning

Konstas is up and running early working two off the hip from Siraj’s first ball of the day.

A series of leaves and defensive strokes sees out the rest of the over comfortably.

Players are walking out

Sam Konstas will be on strike while Marnus Labuschagne joins him at the crease.

If these two survive the first hour it will go along way to helping Australia surpass India.
