The Ashes: Live coverage of Day 3 of the second Test between Australia and England at the Gabba live
Australia are hunting wickets under the cover of night-time as they continue to grind England down. Stay across the latest from the day-night Test here.

Cricket: Australia moved into a strong position after some poor Egnland bowling and worst fielding on day two but left the door open with their own brain fades on day two.
They lead by 44 runs, with Alex Carey and Michael Neser having the chance to bat England out of the match and potentially the series but England will hope they can run through the tail.

Jake Santa Maria is reporting live.
97th Over: AUS 8-446
Boland on strike to Carse, who is targeting the stumps for once.
He defends the first four.
Close Again! Boland French cuts in front of the stumps to get more hands on heads for England.
Works the last to deep third but turns down the single
96th Over: AUS 8-446
FOUR TO BOLAND! Plays it late, opening the face and, it runs between the slips and gully.
Close! On the hip and Boland flicks it just wide of short leg for another single.
SHOT! Best of the morning as Starc nails a cover drive to move into the 40s
9th wicket partnership now worth 30 runs.
95th Over: AUS 8-437
Carse continues the short stuff.
Starc goes fishing and nearly edges one.
FOUR! Starc’s had enough as he drives on the up through the covers.
FOUR MORE! Too full and Starc drills the drive to push Australia’s lead past 100!
Over in Christchurch, the West Indies posted the second-highest fourth-innings total in history against a depleted New Zealand attack to secure a thrilling draw.
Chasing an improbable 531 they batted nearly two full days with an unbeaten 202 by Justin Greaves and 58 from Kemar Roach seeing them finish 6-457.
Remarkable stuff.

94th Over: AUS 8-429
Stokes to Boland.
He drop and runs and singles into the offside.
BEATEN. Stokes continues to be the best of England, beating Starc’s push.
On the hip and worked fine for a single.
CLOSE! Boland pushes at one and it seams to beat the edge as Stokes throws his head back.
This pair has seen off 11 overs
93rd Over: AUS 8-427
Carse keeps it short to Starc.
He can duck under most of the over and defends the two that were on the stumps.
92nd Over: AUS 8-427
Stokes replaces Archer. Something of a win for Australia to put him through another wicketless spell.
How did that miss!? Stokes seams one in beats the inside edge but not enough to hit the stumps.
EDGED! But short of Joe Root at slip, and the misfield gives Starc a single. Stokes hangs his head.
Boland right behind the last.

91st Over: AUS 8-426
Carse replaces Atkinson.
No surprises as he’s banging it into the deck.
This is a very unthreatening over with a relatively new ball.
How did that not carry. Starc goes for a swipe and it goes off the toe in the air but somewhow drops short of Archer running in at mid-off who can only laugh.
90th Over: AUS 8-425
Archer to Boland.
Full and straight and he’s right behind it.
WHAT A BALL TO FINISH. Cuts Boland in half but misses the edge and goes off the thigh guard to Smith and Boland survives
89th Over: AUS 8-425
Atkinson to Starc as he defends.
He turns down a single and then ducks under as Atkinson goes short.
Can he keep the strike? No as he drills the straight drive but it’s well feilded at mid-off
87th Over: AUS 8-425
Archer with the chance to have a full over at Boland.
But he gets off strike and off the mark with an aerial flick off the hip that somehow goes between all three fielders in the area.
FOUR! Starc gets over the bounce and cuts one through wide gully for a boundary.
On the legs and turned for a single as Australia’s lead goes into the 90s
