WEARN-NER WEARN-NER - MATT BRINGS HOME GOLD

Needing to just finish in the top seven to bring home the title, Perth’s Matt Wearn won the final race to soldify the gold medal.

Wearn hunting Kontides

With a gold medal arms reach away, the only player in the race that can disrupts Matt Wearn’s chances is Cyprus’ Pavlos Kontides.

If Kontides finishes first and Wearn crosses six places worse then he losses the grip on gold.

Wearn is going right at the Cyprus sailor, not giving him an inch in the hunt for the top spot.

Lets go Lee

A rocky start thanks to an unfortunate putt game had Minjee Lee falling in the women’s golf standing.

Back-to-back performances under par has improved her stroke count to +1.

An impressive drive straight on to the green on a par 3 gives the WA athlete a chance to sit square.
