Following her impressive dive score of 69.75, WA’s Maddison Keeney has shot up to the top of the standings with her score of 255.75.
There are still plenty of divers left to jump, but she is sitting comfortable in the hunt for a top 12 finish.
Make it a gold - Wearn back on the sea as race resumes
The men’s dinghy medal race is back on, with Matt Wearn looking to lock away the gold medal.
It has been up in the air if the race would go ahead at all after being pushed back a day for weather.
It got underway earlier today for all of 15 minutes before being called off.
Now Wearn is back on the sea and will look to put away his gold - but the Perth local has already guarenteed a silver.
Diving pair in with a shot
In her third dive, Alysha Koloi has earnt a 55.50 from the judges with her back 2 1/2 somersault.
The 3m springboard prelims are heating up, with Koloi sitting at fifth with a score of 183.60.
Australian teammate Maddison Keeney is just above her with a 186.
Lee on the move
A shot under par has Minjee Lee back at a +2 stroke, climbing back up to 24th on the standings in the opening round of the women’s golf.
Aussie pair on the hunt
As the golf action continues to rage in first round of the women’s golf, the Australian pair Minjee Lee and Hannah Green have ground to make up.
Lee had an unfortunate putt to put her at +3 stroke count and 35th overall.
While Green sits on the stroke count of +5 and 50th on the standings.
The French golfer Céline Boutier currently leads the back at -4.
Wearn waits - Race Abandoned
Following the highly anticipated start of the men’s dinghy medal race, Matt Wearn had a comfortbale position to earn himself gold - but the race has been abandoned after 15 minutes.
The wind has been a logistical nightmare and now they will have to wait to see if they will get another chance later today, or if it will be pushed back tomorrow.
Koyoi clocks a 63
Brisbane’s Alysha Koloi has clocked up a 63 in her first jump of the women’s 3m springboard prelims.
It puts her at equal third for the jumpers who have gone already.
US competitor Alison Gibson clipped her foot just before and copped a 0.
Keeney clocks 55.50
In her opening jump, WA’s Maddison Keeney clocked up a 55.50 with her pike position dive.
It leaves plenty of room to improve in the women’s 3m springboard prelim.
Wearn goes for Gold
Medal favourite Matt Wearn is finally off to the races after the men’s dinghy final was delayed due to the weather from yesterday.
The Fremantle sailor has dominated so far and is looking to bring home gold - he is already guarenteed a silver following his top play in the heats.
A general recall was called following a false start, but the long awaited medal race is getting underway.
Hoffman has it
Following suit with Richardson, Australia teammate Leigh Hoffman has bested Canadian Nick Wammes in the 1/32 heat ride - beating him out by 0.556.
