Australia continued its impressive run of gold medals on day 11 of the Paris Olympics, but this one had a twist that will go down in history.

Australia is through to the women’s water polo semifinal following their 9-6 win over Greece.

Australia has set a new world record in the men’s cycling team pursuit with a 3:40.730.

During their heat against Italy, the Aussie’s set a new world record and will go on to face Great Britain for the gold medal.

With just 15 seconds left in the third quarter, the Greeks get one back in the women’s water polo quarter-final clash.

Much like the first quarter, scoring slowed in the third but Australia broke the slump - getting the opening goal of the half.

Stinger scorer Abby Andrews has fired again to put Australia up 4-3 at the half time break.

Greece managed to pick up the pace in the second quarter with both sides scoring three in the term.

It puts them on the back foot and likely out of the chance to compete for Gold - but still a chance to race for Bronze.
