Paris Olympics 2024 live: Arisa Trew wins, Boomers lose to Serbia, Matt Wearn medal race called off on day 11
Australia continued its impressive run of gold medals on day 11 of the Paris Olympics, but this one had a twist that will go down in history.
Jock Landale fouls out
Serbia bring the clock all the way down and can’t score but an untimely foul goes on Jock Landale - kicking him out of the game.
Doup Reath is subbed on to try and guard Jokic.
Serbia go 1/2 on their free throws, the Boomers have 10 seconds to make magic happen down 80-82.
Tense time-out called
Josh Giddey grabs the board and brings it up the court for Australia.
Patty Mills drains the clock but they can’t get a score, just one point and 30 seconds seperates one team from going home.
Giddey makes it a one point game
Just two minutes to go and Josh Giddey pulls up from mid range to make it a one point game.
Landale in trouble
The ball movement has improved dramatically for the Boomers, finding Josh Giddey wide open in the corner for three to tie the game.
They can’t stay clean, with Giddey fouling on a three attempt to give Serbia a trio of free shots - building the lead back up to three.
Patty Mills takes the possesion but Australia can’t find a score.
Jock Landale receives his fourth foul and has just one left to give.
Diving done
And the final of the women’s 10m platform is over and it’s no suprise China have claimed gold and bronze.
Quan Hongchan is the Olympic champion with a sensational score of 425.60, with her compatriot Chen Yuxi her closest competitor (420.70).
North Korean diver Kim Mi Rae (representing PRK) claimed bronze with 372.10.
At just 17, Australia’s Ellie Cole finished in seventh place with a score of 333.30.
Five-time Olympian Melissa Wu was 11th, with a score of 278.30.
Both sides playing sloppy
Patty Mills looking to make magic happen chucks the ball out of bounds will driving to the rim.
Australia is forced to play full court press with the difference still three points.
Worried about the shot clock, Serbia give the ball back on the other end.
Serbia playing tight
The Serbians are looking to force more mistakes, playing tight on their men.
Australia are able to punish the tight defence with a Jack McVeigh three.
Boomers fighting to come back
WA’s Duop Reath and Jock Landale has been given the assingment of Nikola Jokic late.
Reath’s poor shot seelection gave Serbia back the ball, the Boomers currently are missing Josh Giddey and Dante Exum on the court.

Arisa Trew is through to the women’s park final.
The 14-year-old qualified in sixth with a top score of 82.95.
Unfortunately, Ruby Trew didn’t make the top eight - finishing 11th in the prelim.
She fell on the final trick in her third attempt for a score of 70.80.
There is a quick turnaround for the final, which starts at 11pm AWST/ 1am AEST.
Excellent Exum
Dante Exum scored in transition, leading Serbia to call a time out.
Coming out of the break Exum swatted a shot to give Boomers back the ball, Jock Landale has been quiet in foul trouble for the match but drew contact to shoot free-throws, sinking 1/2.
