Jessica Hull lived up to the hype as she produced a rare Aussie track medal on the penultimate day of the Paris Olympics.

Canoe sprinters back in action

Alyce Wood and Tom Green missed out on a spot in the canoe sprint K1 medal race but both will hit the water one more time for the B race.

Wood’s race will start in about 15 minutes before Green gets going about in a little over half an hour.

Bronze on the line

The final quarter of the basketball bronze medal match has just started.

Serbia, who knocked Australia out in the quarterfinals, are leading reigning world champions Germany 72-63.

Medal chance

Australia’s next chance for a gold medal will come in the sport climbing through Oceania Mackenzie.

After the shorter boulder section, she currently occupies the bronze medal spot, marginally ahead of a number of other climbers.

The start of the endurance-based lead section is about 10 minutes away.

Green going for Gold

Hannah Green has just teed off for her fourth round at Le Golf National.

After shooting six under par yesterday and sitting three under for the tournament, she is currently in a tie for 11th.

She sits six strokes behind of leader Morgane Metraux and four back of the bronze medal place.

Rousseau is through

He qualifies in fourth place only seven points behind third which will give him plenty of confidence heading into the final.

Bowshire’s final dive did hurt him as he dropped from 12th to 16 to miss out.

Jaxon Bowshire is in trouble

His final dive his his worse with a 49.50.

He will struggle to make the final now.

Rousseau looks much more comfortable still holding fourth ahead of his final dive.

Here’s a rundown of the WA athletes in action on day 15.

Minjee Lee on course

She’s parred her first two holes and would need something remarkable to get close to the medals. Hannah Green is still about half an hour from starting her round.

Green fades to finish seventh.

Green goes out hard early before settling into his rhythm to settle in third.

After the 500m he started to drop back as he was running out of gas.

He only gets slower on the home stretch and he will miss the medal race.

Men’s K1 1000m semifinal

Tom Green in action he won bronze in the K2 yesterday. Needs a top-four finish to qualify for the medal race.
