Stingers set to go

It’s all happening in Paris — our Stingers are in the pool ahead of their women’s water polo gold medal match against Spain.

They are at least guaranteed a silver but will be looking to keep their fairy tale run alive against the World No.1 and win our first Olympic medal in the sport since 2012.

Diving final red hot

The field is absolutely red hot in the men’s diving 10m platform final.

Australian Cassiel Rousseau has two scories in the 80s but currently sits behind Japan’s Rikuto Tamai, China’s Yuan Cao and Mexico’s Randal Willars, who have all made blistering starts.

Green needs to get going

Another par for Hannah Green on hole 12 has her currently tied for fourth.

She is still in the mix for a medal but will need to be at her best with the margin for error quickly dissipating.

Good start for Cassiel

Cassiel Rousseau has started very well in the men’s diving 10m platform final.

Opting to open with a reverse three-and-a-half somersault dive from a tuck position, his score of 86.7 was good enough to get into second.

Another par

Hannah Green has taken par on the par three hole 11, with the next four holes — three par fours and a par five — being her best chance to make up ground.

New Zealand’s Lydia Ko is still three shots in front, with German Esther Henseleit shooting five under today to rocket up to second.

Rousseau diving for medal

We will be keeping a close eye on Le Golf National but another of Australia’s medal chances is about to get under way, with diver Cassiel Rousseau competing in the men’s 10m platform final.

The action will start on the hour, with Rousseau looking to win a medal after qualifying earlier today in fourth.

Double bogey for Hannah

It’s a double bogey on hole 10 for Hannah Green, closing out with a two-putt to at least avoid a catastrophe.

She has now dropped out of the medal places back into a tie for sixth.

Disaster for Green

The back nine has started disastrously for Hannah Green.

She deposited her tee shot into the water and her follow-up landed in the rough, meaning she will battle to make any better than a bogey here.

Hometown heroes

France have claimed the volleyball gold medal with a dominant 3-0 win over Poland in the gold medal match.

Earlier, the United States won bronze with a win over Italy in the third place playoff.

Par on nine for Green

Hannah Green has shot par on hole nine.

Several golfers are charging up the leadboard but she is a good chance of finishing on the podium or perhaps even winning gold if she keeps her cool.
