Josh Duggar has been moved to his fifth prison in five years after the disgraced reality TV star was convicted of possessing child pornography in 2021.

Duggar — who is the eldest child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of TLC series 19 Kids and Counting — has been transferred to Elkton Federal Correctional facility in Ohio after spending two months in a medical facility in Texas, according to the Daily Mail.

The 38-year-old was convicted of “receiving and possessing material depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit content”, featuring children under 12 years old.

Federal law enforcement say Duggar possessed “images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, including images of prepubescent children and depictions of sadistic abuse”, according to the Daily Mail.

He was sentenced to 12 years and seven months imprisonment, meaning his earliest possible release is in 2033, and he will then be subject to 20 years of supervised release.

The Ohio prison is the fifth facility Duggar has served his sentence in, after he was originally jailed in his home state of Arkansas before moving to the FCI Seagoville facility in Texas.

He was then transferred to Fort Worth FMC in Texas, which is believed to be a physical and mental health facility, before being transferred to Ohio.

It is believed Duggar molested four of his sisters and a babysitter in the early 2000s when he was 14 and 16 years old.

Duggar was also embroiled in the 2015 Ashley Madison data breach scandal, after he admitted to spending $US986.76 ($1423.49 AUD) on two subscriptions as well as infidelity and pornography use.
