A man is facing charges after a two-year-old child allegedly overdosed on cocaine.
Alexander T Moles, 39, was reportedly staying at an Airbnb in Wildwood, New Jersey, with a woman when he was tasked with looking after the children in the accommodation while she showered.
When the woman finished bathing, she noticed one of the children, a two-year-old, was “sleepy” and having difficulty breathing, and Mr Moles took the toddler to hospital, according to Local outlet New Jersey 101.5.

When they intercepted his vehicle, Mr Moles told the police the two-year-old had taken “pain killers”.
The Cape May County Prosecutor’s office released a statement about the incident, saying that the toddler tested positive for cocaine.
“EMS administered two doses of Naloxone nasal spray (NARCAN), to which the child responded, and transported the two-year-old to Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional for further medical attention,” they said.
“Preliminary blood tests of the two-year-old male were also positive for cocaine.”
The relationship between Mr Moles, the woman, and the child remains unclear.
When the police searched the Airbnb, they found a white powder inside a clear bag, a partial orange and white pill, several tinfoil packets labelled “tapentadol hydrochloride” — a narcotic pain medication — and several short plastic straws.
Mr Moles was arrested on July 21 and charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of cocaine possession, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of possession of prescription legend drugs.
He was released on July 24 and will appear in court at a later date.
