Sarah Ferguson is preparing for a surprise return to the United Kingdom after seven months away, with an eye-watering new home reportedly waiting.
Sarah Ferguson is reportedly preparing to return to the UK, seven months after leaving the country amid the fallout surrounding her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his links to Jeffrey Epstein.
The former Duchess of York, 66, is expected to move into a rented property in the Home Counties following her eviction from Royal Lodge in February.
According to The Sun, Ferguson could move into the six-bedroom gated home as early as Monday, with the property reportedly costing £10,000 ($A18,902) a month and featuring three bathrooms and a “granny annexe”.

Her return follows a turbulent period for the family.
Ferguson’s youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, 36, welcomed her third child, a daughter named Adelaide, while McNally also died during her time overseas.
Ferguson did not attend his funeral, with her eldest daughter Princess Beatrice, 38, reportedly representing the family instead.
The move also comes as Andrew remains under police investigation following his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
He was subsequently released and continues to deny wrongdoing.
Andrew has meanwhile been keeping a low profile at Marsh Farm, the five-bedroom home on King Charles’ Sandringham Estate where he reportedly moved in April.
The property underwent extensive renovations before his arrival, including work on its stables and the installation of luxury carpets. Its location on the King’s sprawling 20,000-acre estate also gives Andrew space to walk Muick and Sandy, the corgis he cared for following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
Despite Ferguson preparing to return to Britain, questions remain over Andrew’s relationship with his family.
Royal author Andrew Lownie has claimed tensions between Andrew and his daughters have become increasingly difficult amid the continuing controversy surrounding the former royal.
“Relations with their father are particularly fractured and complex as daughters take on board each new disturbing disclosure about Andrew,” Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise And Fall Of The House Of York, alleged.
Mr Lownie also claimed it is “unlikely Andrew will see his new grandchild except through FaceTime.”
