Two more people have been charged in relation to the alleged kidnapping and murder of a Sydney grandfather.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command responded before detectives from State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad launched a coordinated investigation under Strike Force Chabot.

Police allege Mr Baghsarian was not the intended target of the kidnapping.

His remains were later located about 8am on Tuesday, February 24, near a golf club in Pitt Town, in Sydney’s north-west.

Four people have previously been charged in relation to Mr Baghsarian’s kidnapping and death.

On Tuesday, police said two more arrests were made.

A police spokesperson said detectives executed a search warrant about 7.15am on June 16 in Shalvey, 48 kilometres west of Sydney, where they arrested a 19-year-old man.

Soon after, a 21-year-old man was arrested in Silverwater.

Both men were charged with murder and a kidnapping offence.

The 19-year-old was also charged with failing to comply with a digital evidence access order direction.

The pair are expected to appear in court today after being refused bail.
