Ambarvale: Woman shot dead during drive-by house shooting in western Sydney

A woman has been shot dead in a callous drive-by shooting with police immediately forming a strike force to hunt down the perpetrators.
The woman died after being shot during the alleged drive-by shooting in Sydney’s south west on Monday night.
At about 11pm, emergency services were called to a home on Dickens Road, Ambarvale following reports the woman had been shot.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Officers arrived to find a 65-year-old woman had suffered a gunshot wound to her leg after an unknown vehicle fired several times at the home she was in, before speeding away from the scene.
She was treated by police and paramedics, however she died at the scene.
A man, aged 34, and a woman (21), were also in the home at the time and were uninjured.
Police with assistance from State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad have commenced Strike Force Apslawn to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
