Five people injured in multi-vehicle crash as police tackle man at Parramatta, in Western Sydney

One woman was trapped in her car with serious injuries after the three-vehicle crash.

Four car crash and arrest on the streets of Parramatta

Multiple people have been injured in a serious crash which occurred at about 4.50pm on Saturday.

One seriously injured woman was trapped in her vehicle following the three-car smash at the intersection of Argyle St and O’Connell St at Parramatta, in Western Sydney.

She remained at the scene, while paramedics transport three others to Westmead Hospital, NSW Ambulance said.

Five people were injured in total, with four of the patients being treated for minor injuries.

It is understood a man was tackled by police at the scene.
