Greenacre, Sydney: Man shot in suspected drive-by on Old Kent Road

A man has been taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg during a suspected drive-by attack in Sydney’s Southwest.

Emergency services were called to Old Kent Road in Greenacre shortly before 7.15pm on Wednesday after reports of gunfire.

Police arrived to find a man in his 20s suffering a gunshot wound to the leg. He was treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital in a stable condition.

Officers were told multiple shots had been fired by unknown people who fled the area before emergency crews arrived.

A crime scene has since been established as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
