A body has been found in the search for fisherman who was swept into the ocean in Sydney’s northern beaches.

The 33-year-old fell from rocks and into the water while fishing with a group at Blue Fish Point, Manly about 7.40am on Sunday.

A major search was conducted with help from police, Surf Life Saving Australia, Marine Rescue NSW and the Toll rescue helicopter.

Police divers located a body, believed to be the missing man, about 10.30am in waters nearby.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
