A 17-year-old boy is in critical condition after being stabbed during a violent brawl at a house party in Shalvey, Sydney's west.

A teenage boy is fighting for his life after he was stabbed during a brawl at a house party in Sydney’s west on Tuesday night.

Emergency services rushed to Sedgman Crescent in Shalvey around 10.40pm following reports a fight had broken out in the driveway of a property where the party was being held.

On arrival, police found a 17-year-old boy with multiple stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

Police say around 40 people were at the party when the fight broke out.

“Officers from Public Order and Riot Squad, Operations Support Group, and the Dog Unit assisted with management of crowds who had remained at the location,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“Police have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.”

There have been no other reports of injuries and no arrests have been made.
