Bundaberg: Man charged after crash between ute and van leaves one dead, three others injured

One man has been killed and three other people had to be transported to hospital after a horror crash in regional Queensland.

Following the serious incident a man has been charged after the crash in Bundaberg on Saturday.

It will be alleged by police that at around 7.25pm, a white Toyota Hiace van was travelling on Hummock Road in Windermere when it collided with a Mazda BT-50 at the intersection with Elliot Heads Road.

One passenger of the van, a 25-year-old Bundaberg East man, died at the scene.

Three other passengers of the van were transported to the Bundaberg Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Mazda and three passengers were transported to the Bundaberg Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the van, a 33-year-old Bundaberg East man, has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle casing death.

He is expected to appear before the Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday.
