A St John WA spokeswoman said a man in his 30s was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital, where he arrived about 3.40pm.

The Nightly understands the man suffered multiple lacerations with an edged weapon, believed to be a knife.

One of the two men who allegedly fled the scene has since been arrested by police.

It is understood the man was found inside the bathroom of the bowls club, less than one kilometre down the road.

Blood was spattered on a wall outside the home while other items including clothing and a hammer were strewn across the footpath.

Forensics photographed an item, appearing to be a sharp tool, in bushes opposite the highway from where the bloodied clothes and hammer were.

One resident told The Nightly he didn’t hear anything despite gardening in his front yard less than 100 metres from the incident.

One man remains at large after the incident, with police warning they may be armed.
