The Mandalorian and Grogu movie: Pedro Pascal unmasked in latest trailer for Star Wars film
Three months to go and the latest trailer for the Star Wars movie promises adventure, Pedro Pascal’s face and Baby Yoda at his most adorable.

“Strap in” is the direction, and strap in is what we’ll do.
The latest trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu just dropped and it promises an adventure ride for which a metaphorical seatbelt must be fastened. Or maybe a literal one if you’re game for a 4DX experience.
The Star Wars movie is out in three months’ time, and given that it’s been almost seven years in between big screen outings for the famed franchise, the anticipation is definitely building.

The trailer is still light on plot reveals but we do now know that Mando/Din Djarin is looking for the Hutts, after asking for them from a four-armed, furry alien of the Ardennian species (voiced by Martin Scorsese no less). We get a glimpse of Rotta the Hutt, son of Jabba and voiced by Jeremy Allen White.
There’s also a line of dialogue from Mando which he says, “We’ll take out every bad guy in your deck of cards”, which suggests a mission involving multiple black hats. Maybe to do with the not-so-remnant-y remnants of the Empire.
Then you have Sigourney Weaver’s New Republic colonel warning, “This is not about revenge, it’s about preventing another war”.
Perhaps the most exciting thing from this trailer is confirmation we will see Pedro Pascal’s face from behind that Beskar steel helmet. He’s unmasked in more than one scene.
Look, obviously Mandalorians are never supposed to show their faces but that rule has already been broken, and why cast Pascal if you’re not going to exploit his visage? In this case, give the people what they want.
What they also want, most fervently, is many instances of Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) being goddamn adorable.

Whether that’s punching the wrong buttons in the Razor Crest and looking crestfallen when he’s told not to, but using his Force powers through his teeny hands, he is cuteness personified.
Yes, big adventures in the galaxy and all that, but all we’re really here for is the surrogate father-son relationship between Mando and Grogu.
The film was directed by Jon Favreau and written by Favreau and Dave Filoni, who co-created The Mandalorian streaming series. The show ran for three seasons from 2019 on Disney’s streaming service, and is arguably Star Wars’ most beloved title of the past seven years.
Filoni recently took over as co-president of Lucasfilm after Kathleen Kennedy resigned. He is also the company’s chief creative officer.
The Mandalorian and Grogu is in cinemas on May 21
