She explained that because of her respect and appreciation for agents and staff, she could not “passively stand by”.
“Artists deserve representation that aligns with their values and supports their safety and dignity.
“This decision reflects my belief that meaningful change in our industry requires accountability and leadership that earns trust.”
Mr Wasserman is the CEO of the Wasserman Media Group, and is the chairman of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
In the most recent disclosure of the US Justice Department, emails between Mr Wasserman and Ghislaine Maxwell were exposed.
Mr Wasserman sent flirty messages to Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence, back in 2003 — just three years before Epstein was first arrested on a count of soliciting prostitution.
“I think of you all the time... So what do I have to do to see you in a tight leather outfit?”
He has since expressed his regret in a statement.
“I deeply regret my correspondence with Ghislaine Maxwell which took place over two decades ago, long before her horrific crimes came to light.”
He also said he never had a personal or business relationship with Epstein.
“As is well documented, I went on a humanitarian trip as part of a delegation with the Clinton Foundation in 2002 on the Epstein plane,” Mr Wasserman said.
“I am terribly sorry for having any association with either of them.”
Other celebrities are demanding Mr Wasserman remove himself from the agency.
“We are demanding for Wasserman to remove himself and his name from the agency,” the Lili Trifilio-led band Beach Bunny posted on social media.
Wasserman’s client list is star-studded, boasting names like Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Pharrell and Kasey Misgraves.
