Sam’s Upfronts: host roasts up-coming shows
Sam’s roasting all the new shows coming our way.
First up, the Comm Games, or “Aldi Olympics” as he’s calling them.
Now it’s Big Brother’s turn: he’s being unrelenting on this front, too. Although yeah, would totally watch North Korean Big Brother.
Talking About Your Generation is next, and Pang’s being hilarious about Dave Hughes - it’s not an awards ceremony unless someone gets the boot in.
The Golden Bachelor is up next: “Mark Latham was an odd choice,” Pang quips. Zinger!
“Producers had no problem casting the show, they simply waited at the post office for people who still pay their gas bill in person,” he said.
Teehee!
Real talk: can’t wait for this one. Old people dating: eww, but also, awwwwww.
Marcia Hines sings for In Memorium segment
To honour all of the people the TV industry lost over the last 12 months, Marcia Hines sung a beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace.
Her voice is incredibly powerful and exactly what the Logies needed to pay tribute to the talent we have lost.
It was also the song she sang at Maggie’s memorial.

Maggie T tribute
Deborah Hutton has paid tribute to the larger-than-life Maggie Tabbereer who sadly died last year.
She was discovered in the 1950s and graced the covers of magazines, stole the show on Beauty and the Beast, and earned back-to-back Gold Logies for her own daytime show, Maggie.
Hutton met her as a young model in the early 80s.
“She made us work our butts off but we adored her for it, flashing that wicked grin, calling you ‘darling’ in a tone that meant business,” she said.

“Family was everything to Maggie and tonight, we wrap our arms around her two beautiful daughters, Brooke and Amanda, and to her beloved grandson Marco.
“Maggie left an indelible mark on this industry but more importantly, on everyone lucky enough to know her.”
