A Real Housewives star and American singer says she is “ready to talk” after her black market butt injections started leaking silicone.

K. Michelle, born Kimberly Michelle Pate, had “illegal silicone injections” in her butt in 2012, and has spent years undergoing various surgeries to remove the silicone and regain her health.

The 44-year-old currently features on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and in a sneak peek of Sunday’s episode, the singer is seen breaking down after being told she needed more surgery.

“It looks like you have an infection,” a doctor told her in the clip, adding that he would need to remove dead tissue during a “reconstructive surgery”.

After the doctor left the room, K. Michelle broke down and wiped her eyes with a tissue before saying: “I hate that I did this to myself.”

“It was the worst thing I ever did to myself.”

The preview also included an emotional moment of the TV personality recalling the time the implants started leaking before her Academy of Country Music Awards performance in 2025.

K. Michelle said she got up from a couch that was “soaking wet”.

“I didn’t feel anything. I was completely numb,” she said.

“I was standing there in a bathroom. Everyone was blow-drying me down. It was very frantic just to get me on stage to sing. I didn’t know what was going on with my body or my health until I even got back to the room in Nashville.”

The sneak peek went on to show that the R&B turned country star underwent a two-hour surgery “to remove infected tissue related to a previous surgery”.

“The actual thing that has made me sick isn’t the BBL. It’s the injections that I got involving silicone,” she said.

“The hardest thing for me was learning that no matter what I do and how many surgeries, I will never get that silicone out of my body,” she continues. “It will be forever in me. I will never be fully healed.”

Taking to Instagram on Monday, K. Michelle shared the clip along with the caption: “I’m ready to talk about my life.”

After getting silicone injected into her butt, K. Michelle had fat transferred from her stomach to her rear and her hips, in addition to a breast augmentation and rhinoplasty.

“I wanted to look like a Coke bottle,” she previously told People magazine.

K. Michelle admitted she had the butt surgery done “by a man in Atlanta” after hearing that her “favourite rapper” had previously used his services.

“He wasn’t a doctor. It was black market, it was these ‘hydrogel’ injections — that’s what they were being called,” she said.
