If you’ve ever fancied yourself a king or queen, this is your chance to live out your royal fantasies at Evermoore, a grand estate currently on the market.

Located in Gleniffer on five hectares, the property includes two dwellings, The Castle and The Homestead, a swimming hole and approximately 250 metres of private frontage to the Never Never River.

The sale of the property is being managed by agents Geneva Isenbert and Carl Hurford from Ray White Rural Dorrigo.

Undoubtedly the most striking feature of the property is the three level dwelling known as ‘The Castle’.

“It’s extraordinary,” Ms Isenbert said. “When you’re walking around the property, it feels like you’re in a whole other world.”

Much like its namesake, the property looks just like a medieval castle complete with hand-crafted stained-glass windows, round coronas, wood-burning fireplace and crystal chandeliers.

On the ground level is the Great Hall, a regal living and dining space that leads out onto a covered patio, a scullery for any kitchen needs and a master bedroom with ensuite.

An iron spiral staircase leads up to an open-plan mezzanine level that offers a multipurpose space and views of the room below.

The final area is the ‘Rapunzel room’, a cosy bedroom with a private balcony and views of the expansive property.

The unique home was designed and built by Bellingen community leader Barbara Moore in 1999 whose dream was always to build a castle.

“Barbara Moore is the one that brought it to life,” said Ms Isenbert. “She bought it when it was just land and planted all the trees and built the castle.

“Since she passed away, it’s been with her nieces and nephews who inherited the property.”

The castle has been used as short-stay accommodation and even hosted the wedding of one of the owners.

Over at the Homestead there are four bedrooms, two with ensuites and walk-in-robes, an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area, open fireplace and laundry.

“The castle and the house are separated by a fair bit of foliage, and you wouldn’t even think they’re on the same property,” Ms Isenbert said. “It’s really private and you’ve also got the river frontage as well, so there’s a lot to look at and a lot to love.”

There is also a large shed on the property known as “The Disco Studio” which features a bathroom, kitchenette and fireplace.

The property recently passed in at auction at a vendor bid of $3.5 million and is now listed for private sale.
