Ah Chee settles

The Lions are feeling the pressure but Ah Chee runs into an open square and boots it home.

Bailey the play before missed his boot when attempting the same thing.

It is the first Lion’s goal in more than 32 minutes.

Four in a row!

Are Carlton mounting a comeback?

They now have four in a row to answer the nine Brisbane kicked on them unanswered in the first half.

That has to be one of the worst halves of football ever played in a final from Carlton.

They kicked two late majors to avoid an embarrassing piece of history but Voss has been spitting chips on the boundary.

The halftime address could be one for the ages, especially as McKay missed the simplest of set shots for their third.

Brisbane can keep cruising along with an eight-goal advantage.

Zorko and Wilmot have impressed for the home side.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has taken nearly 57 minutes but Cripps has the Blues first score and it’s a goal.

It took two Lions defenders to botch an intercept mark after a customary Hipwood turnover but the Blues skipper got it done.

They will avoid the lowest-ever half time score of two points from 1903.

So, they won’t even get to be record-breakers after this travesty of a first half.

Traffic cones and step ladders

Rayner’s taking the mickey now.

Off one step he climbs into the sky to pull down a ripper and takes a huge hug from teammates.

He promptly slots the goal and I can only imagine how Freo fans are feeling watching the side that beat them for the top eight produce this.

Early sub

Tom De Koning has been sent in as the sub at the expense of Matthew Kennedy.

A very early tactical change from the Blues.

‘Country Roads’ is here

The crowd are in full voice as Cameron gets on the board with his first after Docherty wobbled a dump kick out of defence off the side of the boot.

Carlton still has not scored.

The Blues are the first team since North Melbourne in 1974 to go scoreless in the opening quarter of a final.

They have been completely hapless, and the Lions are ripping them apart without playing great footy.

McCluggage leads all-comers with 10 touches and three clearances, while Daniher, who has kicked the most first-quarter goals this season, has two at the first break.
