AFL live scores: West Coast Eagles smashed by 101 points against St Kilda
West Coast have made a horror start in their attempt to snap a three-match losing run - and they haven’t been helped by the AFL’s score review system. Follow all the action from Marvel Stadium here!

AFL: West Coast failed to fire a meaningful shot as they were hammered to the tune of 101 points by St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Sunday.
The Eagles entered the match off a string of losses against three genuine premiership contenders in Sydney, Geelong and Fremantle, and the task didn’t get significantly easier against a Saints side that returned to their Marvel Stadium home for just the second time this season.

West Coast are leading the inside 50s for the term and have three goals after Baker sneaks one through.
They have also completly stopped the Saints getting chains out of the back half.
However, the home side have replied with two goals from centre clearance, an area West Coast must start winning if they are any chance to pull of another comeback win.

Inspirational!
Eagles have two in a row off the back of a massive effort from Champion.
The small forward was the lone man heading forward and he punched the ball to space to outrun the defenders and then stood firm in the tackle to get the ball out.
Yeo gets the goal but it belongs to Champion.

Shanahaaan!
Jobe has got himself involved to give the Eagles their second goal and the first of the half.
It was his big contested grab that left the Saints defenders unable to stop him.
Marvel is where he showed his talent for the first time last year so he has happy early memories at the ground.

ICYMI
The AFL is going to have some explaining to do after a bizarre review during that second quarter.

The Eagles can consider that review very unlucky but their implosion since is unbecoming with their lowest-ever first half score at Marvel.
They got torched around the ball in the second half of that quarter and are probably lucky not to be 10 goals down.
Their response to adversity isn’t good enough so far today.
Lindsay and Duursma are flying for West Coast with Yeo next best but McCarthey, Reid and Kelly have not had the impact McQualter needs them to have.
Young and Ginbey are holding well in defence but the forward line are both starved and then blowing their slim pickings anyway.
This could get ugly after halftime.
Blown open
The Saints have blown this game open on the back of that review and the Eagles now look lost.
Harley Reid has had his ankle strapped while NAS starts to get loose.

Eagles response
It’s clear how the Eagles see it, especially as the Saints get another from the next clearance.
Score review
A 90 second goal review, that was really a behind review, has handed St Kilda a goal they shouldn’t have.
The commentators have described it as “farcical and embarrassing”.
The ball was clearly over the line but the review called it back for a mark with Marshall getting an easy major.

Ouch!
Liam Ryan has copped a massive corkey to the right hip/buttock as Ginbey’s knee got him coming the other way in a marking contest.
The former Eagle is in real pain and struggling to get up.
Meanwhile, this is the Eagles best period of the game.
They have found some momentum and are winning the ground balls.
It’s all been led by fifth-gamer Josh Lindsay who has a game-high 15 touches.

On the board!
St Kilda let the Eagles off the hook with two more missed shots and West Coast finally break forward.
The ball inisde 50 comes to ground and Reid gets a free kick as he is brought down without the ball running on to it.
He nails the set shot for the Eagles’ first.
