Footy’s back with a blast from the past as the Indigenous All Stars return for the first time in 10 years to take on Fremantle in what is set to be an electric curtain raiser for the AFL season.

Follow all the action live below, with bouncedown set for 4.30pm.

HALF TIME All Stars 7.5 (47) Fre 5.5 (35)

Fremantle were able to catch the All Stars out on the break on more than one occasion but the closing speed of their stars has been able to cover that up.

The Dockers also wasted a few easy chances as the All Stars hold the advantage at half time.

Pickett gets his first

Erasmus is too slow and is caught with the ball. The All Stars play-on as Pickett grabs the crumb and boots his first from just inside 50.

Frederick gets the second

The Dockers breakout of the midfield melee and there’s barely any defence to speak off as Frederick is left wide open.

He eases through his second goal and the margin is back to six points.

Freo’s tall timber combines

Josh Treacy shows terrific strength to take the mark and then beat away two defenders.

He lowers the eyes to hit up Amiss who gets his first goal.

Country Road rings out

And you know that means Charlie Cameron is on the board after Jordan Clark gives away a free after being left three-on-one.

Bobby Hill should of had three.

Izak Rankine lays a massive don’t argue that leaves the Freo defender sprawling as he hits up Bobby Hill directly in front.

He somehow misses from 15m out though

Second quarter underway

Dockers get the overlap out of the middle allowing Michael Frederick to take an uncontested mark inside 50. He makes no mistake with the shot to bring the margin back to 11 points.

FIRST QUARTER AS 5.2 (32) FRE 2.3 (15)

That was entertaining stuff with both teams not afraid to go full tilt.

As expected the All Stars are just so quick and come at waves on the coutner. Fremantle have the dominance in the ruck but the defensive pressure from the All Stars has been excellent.

Couple of concerns

Tim Kelly is ushered off the ground with the help of a trainer.

Sam Switkowski is slow to get up after being smashed in a defensive contest and he is helped from the ground too.

Caleb Serong misses two set shots for Freo.

Stengle with some magic

The Geelong forward is hemmed up on the boundary in the pocket but it doesn’t matter as the sharpshooter nails the shot as the All Stars breakaway.
