Shai Bolton, Caleb Serong and Andrew Brayshaw shone but it was a pair of role-playing forwards who made the ultimate difference.
Recap all the action in our blog.
Big tackle!
Frederick gets his third off the back of catching Ward holding the ball just outside the square.
His effort today has been so much better than the rest of the year and the rest of the game has just come to him.
He has never kicked more than three in a game.

Longmuir happy
Walyalup coach Justin Longmuir says he’s been happy with his side’s back half pressure and just wants them to clean up the skills.
“Really pleased with the way we competed,” he told Fox Footy.
HALFTIME: Greater Western Sydney 29, Walyalup 40
Bolton is on track for his best game as a Docker with two goals and 15 disposals after a brilliant first half but the Dockers will be left rueing their missed shots.
They managed two goals six from the chances while the Giants kicked two goals one.
The turnover numbers a very high for such a low pressure game and it is the principal score source for each team.
Serong leads all comers with 17 disposals and has also won two clearances.
Ash still leads the Giants.
Walyalup also lead the inside 50 count by 10 despite having less overall disposals.

Like a bolt of lightning!
Whitfield thought he could just run around Bolton on the mark in the pocket and was taught a rude lesson.
Bolton looked distracted trying to get the umpire to play on but he was in motion as soon as Whitfield moved.
He hunted him into the pocket and nailed him in a tackle.
He snaps the goal through to take full toll.

Jye’s the guy
He didn’t touch the ball in the first term but Amiss is moving into the contest.

QUARTER TIME: Greater Western Sydney 16, Walyalup 22
It was a very dour first term as both sides lacked intensity and struggled on the slippery turf.
The skill level has still been low but everything looks greasy.
Michael Walters revealed during his visit to The West Australian yesterday Engie Stadium is a slippery venue even before the turf was relayed.
Serong and Bolton are the leading ball winners for Walyalup while Ash has had plenty for the Giants.

Turn on the heat!
This game is ice cold today.
Their is little to no pressure or intensity in this contest.
Both teams are having all day to work the ball forward but are butchering their inside 50s.
Amiss has registered no stats in the first term.
Birthday Freddy!
It’s been a tough year for Fredericks but he has started well today.
He gets a goal after a chopping of the arms free kick but has already had four touches and missed his first shot at goal.
