AUSTRALIA ALL OUT

Lyon is the last to go, and that’s the end of the Aussies’ batting for this Test!

Mehidy snares a fifth wicket for the innings. Lyon tries to sweep, misses, and gets pinned LBW. Ball tracking confirms it post review.

All out 284, meaning Bangladesh need just 57 - a paltry total - to achieve their first-ever Test victory Down Under.

The lead is 54...

... the same total that Bangladesh got bowled out for in last week’s practice match.

Lyon has now faced 23 balls for his 14 and is showing he’s more than keen to stick around.

GREEN GOES!

That’s the end of the superb Cam Green resistance!

Hasan Mahmud gets his ninth wicket of the match in what may be a MOTM performance, and Green’s gotta go.

It stays a little low and the West Aussie can only chop on. He’s gone for 104 off 201 - a fine knock.

Australia now effectively 9 down for 50 as Hazlewood joins Lyon. It’s looking dire.

GREEN TONS UP

It’s a Test ton for Cam Green!

He gets there by prodding two, and a Lyon dive ensures he gets there.

It’s a bit of a muted celebration given the circumstances, but he eventually gives his batting partner a hug and raises his bat and helmet.

That’s Test century No.3 for the West Aussie, and comes at the perfect time amid some noise around his place in this side.

It’s the first time he’s reached three figures at Test level since summer of 2024.

Aus now 8-272, a lead of 44.

Green goes BANG

Green goes to 95 with a towering six!

He gets hold of Taskin on the pull. Pure contact and into the crowd.

He’s dropped the very next ball, with the bowler getting a hand to a return chance but unable to cling on in his follow-through.

Australia 8-263, a lead of 35.

OUT! Starc goes

Australia lose one within 10 minutes of resumption!

Taskin gets Starc to nudge at one with little footwork and away from his body... and can only succeed in getting an edge through to Litton Das.

Starc goes to DRS, but it shows a decent-sized nick there. No luck.

Australia now 8-250 - effectively 8-22 - as Lyon comes to the middle.

Resumption time

Welcome back! We’re just about set to go after the lunch break in Darwin.

Australia are effectively 7-15 as they restart play here. What kind of total can they make the tourists chase to be any sort of a chance of pulling off a miracle win? 100? 125?

Green is on strike on 85 as he eyes a ton, but more importantly, eyes batting for the entire session to breathe life back into the match.

Lunch in Darwin

That’s lunch after a Australia produced a first session which at least ensured they would avoid an innings defeat.

And while Cam Green is closing in on a third Test century, having made his way to 85 not out as part of a budding partnership with Mitchell Starc (14 not out), the result looks inevitable.

Bangladesh now trail by 15 but are well and truly in the driver’s seat in Darwin.

We will be back in around 40 minutes for the second session.

LUNCH: AUS 7-243

Green going through gears

Cam Green is beginning to go through the gears now.

A picture-perfect cover drive to collect four from Hasan Mahmud was the highlight of an over in which he moved to 83.

AUS 7-238

Mehidy going nowhere

Najmul Hossain Shanto has stuck with Mehidy Hasan Miraz after taking the new ball.

And with how the off-spinner has bowled this morning, that’s hardly an unjust call.

AUS 7-233
