The Ashes live scores: Follow the latest from Day 2 of the Third Test from Adelaide Oval

Cricket: Day 1 in Adelaide had no shortage of talking points - so what will Day 2 bring?
Australia resume at 8-326, but it could have been a better position for England had a DRS error not gone against them to help Alex Carey notch a ton.
The tourists will be looking to wrap up two quick wickets and then bat for a long chunk of time - in forecast 37C heat - to put the pressure back on the home side.

He’ll need to lead from the front in the searing heat.

EDGE! But just short of third slip with Cummins going across Duckett.
FOUR! Duckett punches off the back foot through the covers for England’s first boundary.
A single to mid-off to finish. ENG 0-7
Here we go
Starc with the new ball with Crawley on strike.

Three slips and a gully, mid-on, mid-off in place.
Leading edge off Duckett! But it’s on the bounce to Lyon at point.

All Over
Archer gets one on the stumps and Lyon plays around a straight one to be pinned on the back leg.
He reviews because why not but it’s umpires call on hitting the stumps and Archer gets a fourth five for as Australia all out for 371.
It looks unders given the way the tail batted this morning, can England’s Bazballers finally get it together?
Important runs
The Aussies have now added a quickfire 38 for the morning - in just 22 minutes - as Boland finds three brisk boundaries (including a streaky edge over the slips cordon).
It’s been a disappointing start from the tourists on such an important day for them. 9-364 is the total.
350 up
Scott Boland’s off the mark with a little nudge into the leg side, and it’s now 9-350.
Ricky Ponting is taking aim at England’s standards with the ball and in the field on Seven’s broadcast, saying they’ve been super sloppy to open the day. Loose bowling, relaxed fielding, not up to scratch.
Archer had speeds in the mid 130s for his first over before revving it up a little after that, with he and captain Ben Stokes engaged in multiple conversations of a somewhat animated nature.
Starc OUT
That’s it and that’s all for the Starc run-fest this morning!
Archer gets one to jag back in and it clips the top of Starc’s leg stump.
He goes for an entertaining 54 - including 21 added in just 10 minutes this morning - and it’s now 9-348.
Boundary-fest!
Starc is BLAZING to start the morning!
He peels off two more fours through the offside off the bowling of Brydon Carse, and suddenly he’s then nudging a single to bring up his 50!
The left-hander signals to the crowd as Seven’s Ricky Ponting blasts England for not being ‘on’ from the opening moments this morning.
It’s 8-344, with 18 runs coming in the first two overs.

Australia 8-334
Starc punishes a wide one with Archer’s second ball of the day, slashing it through a vacant backward point region for the first boundary.
Three balls later, he’s on the drive, and the new ball races away to the cover rope.
Eight runs off the first over and Archer punished for being a little sloppy.
