Hungary’s Hubert Kós claims gold in the 200m backstroke final with a time of 1:54.26.

McIntosh claims ANOTHER gold

Canada’s Summer McIntosh has claimed a second gold at the Paris Olympics, winning the women’s 200m butterfly final.

The 17-year-old swimming sensation beat out American Regan Smith, who took home silver and China’s Zhang Yufei, who claimed bronze.

McIntosh’s 2:03:03 set an Olympic record.

Australia’s Lizzie Dekkers finished fourth. What an incredible effort!

Simone Biles wins the gold!

WAS THERE EVER ANY DOUBT!?

She was pushed by Rebeca Andrade but a small penalty for going out of bounds saw Biles needing a 13.868 to win the gold.

She absolutely nailed the routine with a 15.066 to win by more than a point.

What a champion.

She hit the front early and never looked back.

Fellow Aussie :Lauren Reynolds was pipped on the line to finish fourth.

Wright through to the quarter-finals.

It was not a thrilling final with relatively flat conditions but Wright had all the class to extract a pair of fives from her two best waves as Lelior couldn’t find a solid run.

Wright will now face American Caroline Marks for a place in the semifinal.
