North Ryde: Man dies, woman trapped in horror truck crash on Lane Cove Road, heavy traffic delays
A man has died following a collision between a car and a truck in Sydney’s North West early Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to the eastbound lanes of Lane Cove Road in North Ryde shortly after 1am after reports of a crash.
A male passenger in the car died before emergency crews arrived. The car’s driver and a female passenger were trapped in the wreckage and freed by Fire and Rescue NSW.

The truck driver, a 61-year-old man, was uninjured but was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established and authorities expect the area to remain closed for some time.
Live Traffic NSW has warned of heavy traffic conditions in the area and motorists are advised to use alternative routes and allow extra travel time.
