Sydney road rage investigation after man clings to bonnet at Melrose Park.

Dramatic footage has emerged of an apparent road rage incident in which a young man clings to the bonnet of a car as it speeds away.

The shocking meltdown happened in Melrose Park in Sydney’s west on Tuesday afternoon and it was said to have been sparked after an argument between an elderly man and a man in his 20s.

The footage, obtained by Sunrise, shows the young man on the bonnet and holding on as the elderly driver speeds away, stops, and then drives off again.

A different clip of footage taken from the scene appears to show the two arguing, with the pair pushing and scuffling with each other.

NSW Police are investigating the incident.

There are no reports of injuries.
