“Sadly, he died at the scene,” Tasmania Police said.

A driver and another passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

They were taken to the North West Regional Hospital.

The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Investigations are ongoing, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones,” police said.
