Dave Grohl divorce lawyers pack up as rocker hopes to ‘work things out’ with wife after baby scandal

Dave Grohl is reportedly doing all he can to repair his marriage with his wife of 21 years Jordyn Blum after confessing to fathering a child to another woman.

A month after he dramatically announced to social media he had “become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage”, Grohl was seen in public without his wedding ring. So was his wife Blum.

People Magazine first reported the Foo Fighters frontman had retained a divorce attorney before making the bombshell announcement, according to an unnamed source.

Now a source tells the magazine the 55-year-old has called off the cavalry.

“He’s no longer working with a divorce attorney and instead hoping to work things out with his wife,” the insider reportedly said.

A second source told PEOPLE Grohl “loves his family” and was doing what he could to keep them together after his infidelity.

He and his wife Blum, 48, share three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 — who have become the rocker’s renewed priority after his confession, a source said.

They told PEOPLE “he knows he messed up”.

“It’s one of those situations where you don’t realise what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family.”

In his initial bombshell statement on September 10, Grohl said he would be a “loving and supportive parent” to his new daughter but would also work hard to make things right with his wife and older daughters.

“I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he wrote.

Neither Grohl or Blum have publicly addressed the state of their marriage.

PEOPLE Magazine reported that Blum, co-founder of an interior design firm, knew about the secret child “for a while”; another source said she may have been aware of her husband’s cheating, but not the extent of it.

A source said the rockstar’s “flirty behaviour” had been a “hurdle in their marriage” that has been “hurtful to Jordyn”.

The 48-year-old was also photographed at a private tennis lesson in Studio City, California without her wedding ring weeks before the scandal broke.

In early October, People reported that Blum had no trust left in her husband. The Daily Mail reported Blum was leaning on her friends, chief among them actor Kate Hudson after the scandal.

The New York Post previously exposed the Foo Fighters frontman’s alleged relationship with adult entertainer Annaliese Nielsen — who described it as a “brief friendship” to Page Six — who reportedly used to show off pictures she had taken with Grohl and brag the musician had paid her bills.

Some of Grohl’s exes have come out of the woodwork, some to vouch for the “nicest guy in rock” while others throw him under the bus.

Ex-model Kari Wuhrer, who was linked to Grohl in the 1990s during his relationship with Tina Basich, told TMZ she heard “rumblings” about his alleged infidelity for years.

Meanwhile, fellow musician Jennifer Finch, who also dated Grohl in the 90s, told TMZ he was a top-tier dad and friend.
