Charlie Curnow is the name being discussed the most as a potential shift from Carlton to Sydney looms, while we wait to see what will take place with the likes of Christian Petracca, Zach Merrett, Clayton Oliver, Rowan Marshall, Callum Ah Chee and more.
Stay across the day’s developments as they happen here!
Key Events
Stressful
Zach Merrett’s manager Tom Petroro is a man under the pump and he is pacing aggressively from Essendon’s room to Hawthorn’s and back again.
Can they get a deal done with 40 minutes left?
Curnow update
Sydney’s Will Hayward could be the key to a deal between Carlton and Sydney.
It would be a big move for both clubs.
Petracca a Sun!
One of the biggest names in the trade period has landed his move.
It’s a new dawn for Christian Petracca who is officially a Gold Coast Sun.
Suns give up Picks 7, 8 and 2026 first-rounder. Demons send Petracca and three second-round picks.
Another surprise name
Delisted Geelong rookie Patrick Retschko has joined Richmond for Pick No.99.
No one had that on their bingo cards.
Clayton Oliver becomes a Giant
Finally, this one goes through, and the wantaway midfielder joins the GWS for a future third rounder.
Geelong came hard for him last year and the Demons have been forced to accept a bargain bin price for him.

Jack Steele becomes a Demon
After looking like he would stay at St Kilda, Melbourne’s late play has secured the former captain for a future third rounder.

90 minutes to go
All the big names are still on the board though whispers are Christian Petracca should not be far away.
Jamarra posts Bulldogs farewell
The Bulldogs forward took to Instagram shortly after his trade was approved.
Bulldogs farewell Jamarra
The trade has just been approved by AFL House, with the club releasing a statement.
“Jamarra’s affiliation with the Western Bulldogs Football Club has spanned more than eight years, having been a product of our NGA program before becoming the number one selection in the 2020 draft,” Bulldogs executive general manager Sam Power said.
“Over the past 12 months, Jamarra has faced some complex personal challenges and adversity, with a fresh start for both player and Club seen as the best outcome for all parties.
“During this period, Jamarra’s welfare and wellbeing has remained the Club’s sole priority, as we collectively navigated these challenges with Jamarra.
“We wish him nothing but the best for his next chapter up on the Gold Coast.”
Jack Buller joins the Pies
The Claremont product joins Collingwood for a future third rounder while the Pies also get Sydney’s future fourth.
He will be a younger replacement for Brody Mihocek who left for Melbourne.
