WINNER - Dixon!
The commentators had Dixon winning and the judges ended up agreeing!
The Aussie is the Bantamweight champion of the Commonwealth!
Round 3
Mandengbam comes out hot in the final round of the Bantamweight final but Dixon avoids the blows well.
Mandengbam does get a huge right in but Dixon takes it well on the chin.
The split scores in the first round are going to come back to hurt the Aussie who is struggling in a toe-to-toe fight.
He picked it up late and is the better boxer but Mandengbam was very good for the first two minutes.
Round 2 - Dixon
With the judges liking work over quality Dixon is going to need to lift his rate.
He boxed better in the first round but didn’t lay enough punches.
The Aussie’s timing is very good and shows promise for the future.
Mandengbam hasn’t done much in this round so hopefully that will get Dixon up on the scorecards.
Boxing Final Round 1 - split
The 21-year-old is going for gold against Indian J.S Mandengbam.
And he landed a good blow to the jaw as they skip around the ring.
Mandengbam keeps walking into the Aussie’s left hand and Dixon continues to pick him off for points.

Australia’s newest golden girl at these Games has been there once or twice before and knew exactly how to get the job done in the 10k walk.
Good start
Matt Denny launches his first throw 66.87 metres to lead the pack.
His throw was able to cut through some of the head wind which is causing chaos for everyone.
Great effort!
Thomas Reynolds has finished fifth in men’s 400m final against an extreme wind.
And there was some top-tier talent in the field.
Samuel Ogazi takes the gold for Nigeria.
“I’m pretty happy with fifth, pretty tough conditions out here,” he told Seven.
“I was a little naive and should have gone out harder in hinesight.”
Medal
Jordan Scott has won Jamaica a gold medal in the triple jump but the attention now turns to Matt Denny in the Discuss.

Tyler Rorke gave him a long lead and the Aussie took full advantage.
The man from South Australia likes the distance races and used his endurance to burn the Canadian.
Barber falls
D.J Barber is out.
He took the front heading into the final lap as Hoffman did but Nic Paul levelled with him and then kept him on the outside.
The Aussie could not get position into the last corner and swings away.
