Swimming time

Good morning! All eyes now turn to the pool in Paris, where Ariarne Titmus is leading the Aussie charge.

Titmus goes up against US rival Katie Ledecky in the 400m freestyle final at 2.52am WA time. It’s set to be another must-watch showdown in their epic rivalry.

The other major gold medal hope for the Aussies is the 4x100m freestyle team, where the women will start hot favourites. That race is at 3.34am WA time.

We’ll get underway in the pool for the (Paris) evening with the semifinals of the women’s 100m butterfly, with Emma McKeon in action in the second semi.

Davids breaks Australian hearts in injury time as the man advantage was too much.

They made a quick switch from one side to the other and the Aussies didn’t have the energy left.

Incredible effort from the Australians, but it falls short.
