Shark sighting: Manly Beach closes again, beachgoers evacuated
A busy Sydney beach has been closed after a shark was spotted near the shore, forcing swimmers from the water for the second time in less than a week.

Swimmers have been forced out of the water for the second time in less than a week after a shark was spotted at a popular beach in Sydney.
Lifeguards evacuated beachgoers from the water at Manly Beach shortly before 8am on Thursday after a shark was spotted.
It has not yet been confirmed what type of shark has been spotted.

The latest sighting comes less than a week after Manly Beach was shut following a shark alert. Around 15 minutes after Manly was closed on Friday morning, swimmers were also forced from the water at Nobbys Head in Newcastle East after a lifeguard spotted a shark near the Nobbys Lighthouse.
