Police, who had yet to make any arrests over the incident, on Wednesday released CCTV of the moment the shots were fired.

A man can be seen walking over to a silver ute parked across the road from the home before peering inside and then walking towards the property.

He can then be seen firing several shots at the home before running away.

Detective Senior Constable Jeremy Stevens said police believe the attack was targeted but that the family have no idea why they were attacked.

“It’s not a routine incident or something that happens very often whereby the shots were fired directly into the front of the address,” he said.

Stevens called the attack “brazen” and said it was lucky no one was hurt.

“(They were) very lucky, the room that was targeted is actually a garage that has been converted into a kids’ room,” he said.

The children were not in the room at the time.

The vehicle the shooter was seen looking into on the CCTV footage is not directly related to anyone involved in the incident, Stevens said, however police do believe there was another car involved that may have been driven by another person.

The man was wearing dark clothing, white shoes and a balaclava.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has further CCTV footage or any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
