Pick 50 (Collingwood)
Charlie West is heading to Collingwood.
Another South Aussie off the board.
He will be a developing forward for the Pies with big hands and a strong mark.
At 194cm he also has solid speed.
Pick 49 (Gold Coast)
The Suns want a Giants academy prospect in Cooper Bell and they get their man.
He plays in defence predominantly but can also be swung forward.
Pick 48 (West Coast)
The Eagles go left field with Lucca Grego.
He plays defence generally but can be used in all three zones.
Gego is rated a bolter but has a calm attitude and likes the one-on-one contest.
The Eagles are looking at players that can fill multiple holes given their struggles and lack of depth.
Pick 47 (Collingwood)
The Pies took little time with their first pick, but they went for a Swans academy player.
Joel Cochran will now move to Collingwood with Sydney passing on matching.
He has a rare skill set that sees him play on the wing and in defence at over 190cm.
He also won the 2km time trial at the combine.
Pick 46 (West Coast)
With pick 46 the West Coast Eagles select Tom Gross.
The Oakleigh midfielder was named an Under 18s All-Australian and could be another one that has slipped right down the order.
He loves to get forward and is a good ball-winner.
Pick 45 (St Kilda)
The Saints take West Australian Hugh Boxshall.
The Eagles would likely have taken him with the next pick but the Saints traded up to beat them.
He has modelled himself on Josh Dunkley and he is a running line-breaker.
Played Colts for Claremont.
Pick 44 (Geelong)
Jay Polkinghorne is the newest Cats forward.
He comes from country South Australia and will be a long-term prospect.
He spent time coming out of the goal square this season and his IQ is rated well.
Pick 43 (Carlton)
Geelong are getting the bids out of the way early, picking a Carlton father-son.
They forced the Blues into action to nab Ben Camporeale.
He is a midfielder with pedigree but may be a project player.
Ben was labelled as a clearance hunter, which, in time, could take over for Patrick Cripps.
Eagles trade!
West Coast have brought in pick 46 from the Lions while giving up a future third-rounder.
Pick 42 (Brisbane)
The Lions match the bid on academy prospect Ty Gallop from Geelong and keep the tall forward.
He is liked for his strength and marking and may eventually fill the Joe Daniher hole.
