It was another action-packed day at the Paris Olympics, with Australia making a huge splash in the pool and on the podium. RECAP all the action from day six.

Mollie O’Callaghan, Lani Pallister, Brianna Throssell and Ariarne Titmus have done it in 7:38.08 - just shy of the world record.

Opals on court
The Opals are back in action in a must-win match agaisnt Canada.
A lot on the line in this fixture with both sides chasing thier first win of the campaign in a bid to make it through to the next round.
Canada have started well in the do-or-die clash, leading the Opals 5-0.
Wearn off the pace
Matt Wearn makes the second mark in 21st postion and 48 seconds off the pace of Dutch leader Duko Bos.
Still plenty of time left in the race for Wearn to make up the deficit.
Gangurrus hold on
The Gangurrus hold on against the Americans after a dramatic finish to notch their third straight match.
Despite losing all three of their previous matches, the USA still pack a punch with 2022 WNBA No.1 draft pick Rhyne Howard (eight points) spearheading their team.
However, the Aussies were staunch in defence and clinical under the rim led by Alex Wilson who scored an equal game-high eight points in the 17-15 victory.

Alex Wilson converts both from the line to give the Gangurrus a two-point buffer with less than two minutes to go.

The Gangurrus still lead the Americans but by the barest of margins, 12-11.

The Gangurrus have the hot hand early against USA, leading the winless powerhouses 7-6 after Alex Wilson converts a layup following an enormous block on the defensive end.

The women’s 4x200m freestyle relay team also booked their spot in the final where they are hot favourite to claim gold.

Aussie medal fancy Matt Wearn is moments away from starting the men’s dingy final race.
After a long delay, the race is set to start shortly with Wearn looking to defend his 2020 gold medal in this very event.
