WA golfers going well

Minjee Lee and Hannah Green are both moving up the leaderboard on day three at Le Golf National.

Green has shot two under par through 12 holes to get up into a five-way tie for 19th, while Lee is one under today and about to start her back nine tied for 17th.

At 9pm, Maddison Keeney will be in the final of the women’s diving 3m springboard.

Green light

Our attention now turns to the men’s K2 canoe sprint final, where Tom Green and Jean van der Westhuyzen shape as a serious chance of winning gold medal number 19 for Australia.

Spain and Germany present as our major challengers.

Not to be

Australia finished sixth from lane one in the final of the women’s K2 canoe sprint.

Our pair of Ella Beere and Aly Bull held their own in lane one but were never a chance of reeling in dominant New Zealand duo Lisa Carrington and Alicia Hoskin.
