Long way to go
With the women’s long jump under way, the two Australian outfits have got ground to cover in making up the distance.
Camryn Newton-Smith has clocked a 5.78 while Torri West sits at 5.41.
The current leader Sofie Dokter from Netherlands is ahead of the pack with a 6.26.
First round of jumps done
After the first round of jumps have been completed, the other Australian diver Jaxon Bowshire ended with a 67.20 - 15th overall.
Rousseau impresses
In the opening jumps of the men’s 10m platform diving, Australia’s Cassiel Rousseau has jumped to third on the ladder after earning the judges praise with a 76.50 on his first dive.
Finland finds form
After having the bottom two golfers in the women’s individual play, Finland’s Ursula Wikström is starting to make way.
Her and teammate Noora Komulainen were 59th and 60th on the standings, but some solid play from Wikström has her rising up after a bridie on the opening hole.
Golf gets going
Day three of play tees off in the women’s golf and Australia’s two outfits are looking to improve.
Perth’s Minjee Lee recovered well on the first day to sit inside the top seven, but her efforts were for naught after a double bogey yesterday.
Her stroke count is sitting one above par, putting her at 22nd on the standings - she has climbed up from a worse position.
While the other Aussie Hannah Green had a much better outing yesterday with an Eagle, putting her three above par and 29th on the standings.
They have ground to cover if they want to medal, with New Zealands Lydia Ko sitting in third at five below par.
Marathon men
It was a big finish to the men’s swimming marathon with Hungarian Kristof Rasovsky taking the gold in under two hours.
Oliver Klemet won silver for Germany and David Betlehem won another medal for Hungary with bronze.
Aussie Nick Sloman finished 11th with Kyle Lee 13th.

It’s day 14, and we have just three days of competition left in Paris.
The men’s 10km swimming marathon is currently braving the Seine and approaching a tight finish while later tonight two West Aussies will go for gold.
