AUSSIES WIN!!!

CONGRATS GIRLS!!!!
France hit the front
The Sharks took a 1-0 lead into quarter time but France get on the board within the first 30 seconds of the second to tie it up.
BANG BANG. It’s two in two for the hosts as the Sharks find themselves on the back foot early in the second.
Sharks bite early
Angus Lambie has just buried a shot to put the Sharks 1-0 with two minutes to go in the first quarter.
The Aussie defence has been elite thus far forcing several turnovers.
Sharks back in the pool
The Aussie Sharks are back in action going up against hometown heroes France, looking to add their second consecutive win after taking care of Serbia with ease a few nights ago.
Opals shining in the last
The Opals have put their foot down in the last, streaking away to an 11-point advantage with a little over three minuts to go in the fourth.
Unideal end to Jason’s Day
After hovering in the top 10 for most of the opening round, Jason Day faultered on the final hole, shooting a double bogey to slump to 25th in the standings at two shots under par.
THREE QUARTER TIME
The Opals are just 10 minutes away from registering their first victory of the Olympics, leading Canada by seven points at the final change.
Despite being clumsy at times, the Australians have been solid on defence behind Steph Talbot who has collected nine rebounds while WA’s Sami Whitcomb leads the floor with 12 points on 71 per cent shooting.
Torturous turnovers
Despite leading the Canadians, the Opals have been their own worst enemy at times with basic turnovers marring an otherwise good performance.
The Australians have gifted the ball back to the Canadians 14 times yet still lead 46-42 late in the third.
Foul trouble
Opal star Ezi Magbegor draws her fourth foul mid-way through the third and is forced to sit.
They still lead by two with five minutes left in the third.
Jemima joyous after bronze medal win
The latest of the Aussie medal winners Jemima Montag reflects her bronze medal-winning walk, sayingit was the toughest thing she’s ever done.
“The hardest thing I’ve done physically and mentally,” Montag said on Channel 9.
“I’m proud of my toughness in the last three kilometres.”
Despite winning bronze and stepping on the podium, Montag must wait until tomorrow when the track and field events officially begins before she can receive her medal.
Sums up Min Woo’s day
Min Woo Lee finishes his nightmare first round in last position.
The Fremantle star golfer had a shocker and spent time foraging though the rough for his ball before ending round one at the rear five shots over par.
